Rolson Tools 60972 Sink Plunger 160mm Mouth

Brand New Am-Tech Quality Tools - Large Heavy Duty Plunger

New design of plunger puts the old wooden handled, rubber cup one back into the Dark Ages!
This modern concertina design allows so much more suction and pressure to be generated so that blockages and debris are moved within just a few quick pumps - remember to cover overflow outlet holes first with a bit of dampened waste cloth to both allow the plunger to work and stop the muck coming out that way when it does clear.

The handle usefully unscrews to make it easier to store and being made of polypropylene plastic it is quick and easy to rinse off after use.

The approximate dimensions are 125mm (5 inches) internal hole diameter, 160mm (6 inches) external diameter and 440mm (17 inches) high (or with handle disconnected about 300mm (12 inches).

This useful feedback came in from one customer:

"It is bigger than it looks and fitted snugly over the plug hole in the offending sink.

I gave it a big push (the part at the bottom concertinas down), thinking I would then pull again to try to suck the blockage out (I was too lazy to plug the dishwasher outlet and put a damp cloth over the overflow pipe) and that was the one and only push needed. I was so happy that I had (and have had since) a perfectly flowing sink that I was not even unhappy to have to clean the expelled black sludge off my hands, the sink and the plunger (well, just a little miffed).

Final advice - this is a powerful bit of kit. Learn from my experience and start gently and build your way up. Maybe even cover with a tea towel in case you get a Ghostbusters style sliming experience like me. You can always build up to the big guns of blocking other outlets to create a better vacuum and really pumping away but, with this monster, you might well find there is no need... "
